πŸ“ Tips for New Swim Families

    • What to bring:
      • Sharpie (for writing event numbers on swimmers - see picture below)
      • Towels
      • Warm layers for swimmers (sweatshirt, sweat pants)
      • Goggles
      • RFTC branded swim caps can be purchased in the Pro Shop
      • Lawn chairs, snacks, etc - be prepared to camp out between events
    • Meet Logistics 101
      • Heat Sheets will be sent out right before the start of the meet. Heat sheets tell you where your child will swim by breaking down every event into numbered races (heats) and assigning each swimmer a specific lane.
      • Assistant Coaches and Bull Pen Leaders will help wrangle kids to ensure they don’t miss their races.
      • Use your sharpie to mark the events on your child’s arm. (See image below.)
      • Pro Tip: Find a seasoned swim family to help you navigate the swim meet!

Looking forward to a great meet!

    Go Orcas!
