IMPORTANT UPDATE: hard deadline for meet RSVP’s going forward
Hello Orcas!
Going forward, we will observe a hard deadline for meet RSVPs. All RSVPs must be accurately entered in SwimTopia by 10pm the day before the meet.
- Before the RSVP deadline: please update your RSVP in SwimTopia as needed. There is no need to notify the coach or the chairs of changes made before the deadline.
- After the RSVP deadline:
- If you unexpectedly cannot attend, notify Coach Nicole at [email protected] as early as possible.
- If you forgot to RSVP, unfortunately your swimmer cannot participate.
Why are we making this change?
We have several examples where entry list edits due to late RSVP changes inadvertently led to the removal of swimmers who RSVP'd on time. In addition, the late availability of the final modified heat sheet caused volunteering parents to miss it, resulting in swimmers who RSVP'd on time missing their events.
We permitted late changes when they only caused extra work for the adults; however, we cannot continue the practice when it disadvantages other swimmers.
